SAGE HISTORY

1964

Sage Systems Inc. was started by Thomas Lee Sage in Canoga Park, CA.

Tom developed the first pressure washer for the food service industry based on his first hand knowledge of cleaning needs in the kitchen. Tom was a sales manager for Norris Milk Dispensers, the company his father in law, Lannie Norris, founded and owned. While in restaurant kitchens with the milk dispensers he realized the need for a piece of equipment to clean kitchens while also being able to sanitize. Something that would save labor time, and water consumption. Hence the first pressure washer for the industry the Model 310.

1970 - 1982

Growth of the product line to include the wall mounted 310 as well as a central system with remote stations, portable units and single station wall mounted units. The float tank was re-designed to a stainless tank and the model 310T was introduced. Gravity feed soap dispensing units Model 265 and 295 were also introduced as well as the portable model 120-180 units. All units were belt driven. The need for this equipment was spread from the foodservice industry to the supermarket industry where tremendous growth was realized.
